Thanks for visiting my Pie Page!
By buying a pie today, you'll be supporting the fantastic work that Community Servings does every day. For the cost of one pie, Community Servings is able to provide a week's worth of delicious food to one of their clients (and client's families) suffering from a critical illness. Community Servings is dedicated to providing free home-delivered meals throughout central/eastern Massachusetts to people homebound with cancer, MS, HIV/AIDS, Lupus and other acute life-threatening illnesses, who are unable to shop or cook for themselves. They provide their clients, their dependent families, and caregivers appealing, nutritious meals, reaching out to those in greatest need. Their goals are to help clients maintain their health and dignity, provide nutritionally and culturally appropriate meals, preserve the integrity of their family, and send the message that someone cares.
What is the only thing that might possibly be better than the work Community Servings does every day? Pie. I come from a family where pie is taken very seriously. We have a strict 1:1 ratio of guest:pie, so when we had 22 guests a few years back, that meant 22 pies. This year, consider buying a pie through Community Servings, and you'll receive a pie baked by one of Boston's premier restaurants, and know that the proceeds are going to a great cause.
Not into pie? Consider getting one as a gift for a friend, coworker, or family member.
Don't live in the greater Boston/Worcester area? Consider buying a pie for a Community Servings client which will be delivered in time for Thanksgiving dinner.
As you sit down to your Thanksgiving celebration, I hope you take pride in knowing that you have made a positive difference in someone's life. Thanks again, and Happy Thanksgiving!
